Heat Treatment - Customer Disclaimer

 

Important Notice:
Bed bug heat treatments are highly effective when carried out correctly. However, due to the nature of heat-based pest control, certain limitations and liabilities apply. By agreeing to this treatment, the customer acknowledges and accepts the following terms set out by Marvel Pest Control:

1. Treatment Limitations

   • Marvel Pest Control cannot guarantee complete eradication of bed bugs in a single visit.

   • Follow-up treatments may be required depending on infestation level and compliance with preparation instructions.

   • Re-infestation can occur through visitors, luggage, second-hand furniture, or neighbouring properties.

2. Customer Preparation Responsibilities

   • All preparation instructions provided by Marvel Pest Control must be followed in full.

   • Failure to prepare correctly may reduce treatment effectiveness and may void any return-visit guarantees.

   • The customer is responsible for removing all heat-sensitive items, as Marvel Pest Control accepts no liability for damage to items not removed as instructed.

3. Heat-Related Risks

   • Heat treatment involves raising room temperatures to high levels.

   • Although all reasonable care is taken, Marvel Pest Control cannot accept liability for heat damage to:

     • Candles, aerosols, or pressurised containers

     • Plastics, vinyls, or heat-sensitive materials

     • Electronics, appliances, or wiring

     • Artwork, musical instruments, or delicate items

   • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all vulnerable items are removed prior to treatment.

4. Structural Considerations

   • Older or poorly insulated properties may experience minor cosmetic effects such as expansion or contraction of materials.

   • Marvel Pest Control accepts no responsibility for pre-existing structural issues or damage resulting from extreme temperatures where preparation requirements were not followed.

5. Post-Treatment Behaviour

   • Live bed bugs may still be seen for up to 14 days following treatment; this is normal as heat flushes insects from harbourages.

   • Activity should steadily reduce over time.

6. Liability

   • Marvel Pest Control’s liability is limited to the cost of the treatment only.

   • Marvel Pest Control is not responsible for consequential loss, damage due to inadequate preparation, or re-infestation from external sources.
